Job summary

Mahaana (YC W22) seeks a Technical Business Analyst to bridge business stakeholders and technical teams. You will translate requirements into actionable technical specifications, support project delivery, and optimize systems within a fast-growing fintech environment.

You will design process and data flows, create BRDs/FRDs, run workshops, and assist with testing and user acceptance. Strong SQL, BI tooling, and excellent communication are essential to turn business needs into reliable technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a technical environment.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Proficiency in requirements gathering techniques and documentation tools.
• Experience with data analysis and SQL queries.
• Familiarity with database concepts, APIs, and system integration patterns.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps).

Responsibilities

• Bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into detailed technical specifications.
• Conduct gap analysis to identify system improvements.
• Create BRDs, FRDs, and user stories; facilitate workshops with business users.
• Support design reviews and technical feasibility assessments.
• Collaborate with development teams on technical solutions and documentation.
• Manage requirements traceability and align business needs with deliverables.
• Assist with sprint planning, backlog grooming, and UAT activities.
• Analyze datasets to identify trends and produce data visualizations.
