Job summary

Pakistan Tobacco Company is seeking a Sustainability Officer in Akora Khattak, Pakistan. The role focuses on ensuring environmental health and safety compliance, supporting the EH&S Manager, and coordinating fire safety operations across the site.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for regular communication with internal and external collaborators.
• Good knowledge of environmental and health & safety national laws and legal processes.
• Knowledge of EH&S policies and procedures.
• Sound understanding of risk management principles and their application to the business.

Responsibilities

• Staying updated with regulatory requirements and ensuring compliance.
• Assisting the EH&S Manager with monthly reporting of Global Reporting Indicators.
• Planning and coordinating fire station operations as per procedures.
• Providing and facilitating firefighting training for employees and contractors.
• Ensuring all fire equipment and pumps are maintained and ready.
• Conducting guarding and interlocking assessments and spot checks for compliance.
• Supporting EH&S reviews and audits at all levels.
• Facilitating environmental testing according to legal requirements and guidelines.
