Job summary

Contour Software in Karachi is seeking a SQA Analyst with hands-on testing experience to ensure high-quality enterprise applications. You will work as part of the Contour Software Karachi office's resource-center team, focusing on manual testing, test case design, and defect verification.

The position emphasizes knowledge of SQL, SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and familiarity with JIRA/Confluence; experience with AI-based testing tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in software testing and QA.
• Experience with ticket/defect tracking tools like JIRA/Confluence.
• Knowledge of SQL for data scenarios and verification.
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile/Scrum processes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps) is a plus.
• Strong English communication and analytical skills.
• Experience with AI-driven testing tools or Copilot/ChatGPT is a plus.

The Position

We are seeking to hire a SQA Analyst, with hands on experience and expertise in manual testing enterprise applications, to help ensure high quality and timely delivery of releases.

The hired candidate will be located and work out of the Contour Software Karachi office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

Qualification & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent;
• 1+ Years of experience in software testing.
• Experience with necessary testing tools such as ticket/defect tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence).
• Knowledge of SQL for building different data scenarios and verification.
• Good understanding of SDLC and of Agile/Scrum software development process.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, MS Azure DevOPs is a plus.
• Good English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational, attention to detail, analytical and investigation skills.
• Exposure to or experience in leveraging AI-driven testing tools (e.g., self-healing automation, intelligent test generation, AI-based test optimization).
• Familiarity with using AI/ML-assisted tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) to accelerate test case creation, code generation, and debugging.
• Understanding of how AI can be applied to test data generation, defect prediction, and test coverage optimization.
• Ability to evaluate and adopt AI-based testing solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
