Job summary

Contour Software, located in Karachi, seeks a SQA Analyst to ensure high-quality manual testing of enterprise applications. You will join the Contour Karachi team, supporting R&D with disciplined QA practices and timely releases.

The role emphasizes SDLC/Agile proficiency, SQL data scenario validation, and leveraging AI-assisted testing tools to boost efficiency and test coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/CE or equivalent; 1+ year testing experience.
• Experience with ticket/defect tracking tools (JIRA, Confluence).
• SQL knowledge for building data scenarios and verification.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum processes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
• Good English communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of enterprise applications to ensure quality.
• Contribute to on-time delivery of software releases.
• Work from Contour Karachi as part of the R&D resource-center team.
• Reproduce, log, and track defects; collaborate with developers to resolve.
• Leverage AI-driven testing tools to accelerate test case creation and debugging.

The Position

We are seeking to hire a SQA Analyst, with hands on experience and expertise in manual testing enterprise applications, to help ensure high quality and timely delivery of releases. The hired candidate will be located and work out of the Contour Software Karachi office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

Qualification & Skills

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent; 1+ Years of experience in software testing. Experience with necessary testing tools such as ticket/defect tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence). Knowledge of SQL for building different data scenarios and verification. Good understanding of SDLC and of Agile/Scrum software development process. Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, MS Azure DevOPs is a plus. Good English communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational, attention to detail, analytical and investigation skills. Exposure to or experience in leveraging AI-driven testing tools (e.g., self-healing automation, intelligent test generation, AI-based test optimization). Familiarity with using AI/ML-assisted tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) to accelerate test case creation, code generation, and debugging. Understanding of how AI can be applied to test data generation, defect prediction, and test coverage optimization. Ability to evaluate and adopt AI-based testing solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
