Job summary

BICPHS in Karachi is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and related disorders in school-aged children within an evidence-based preventive health framework.

You will conduct screenings, create individualized therapy plans, and provide direct therapy while coordinating with teachers, families, and health professionals to integrate communication goals into classroom activities and wellness initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Current professional licensure/registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility according to local regulations).
• Experience in assessing and intervening for speech, language, and communication disorders in children and adolescents.
• Experience working in school or pediatric settings, ideally within multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to develop individualized therapy plans and track outcomes using evidence-based methods.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Speech-Language Pathologist role based in Karachi. The Speech-Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and related disorders in school-aged children, using evidence-based practices aligned with BICPHS’s preventive health framework. Daily responsibilities include conducting screenings and comprehensive evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, providing direct therapy sessions, and monitoring student progress. The role involves collaborating with teachers, school counselors, families, and other health professionals to integrate communication goals into classroom activities and broader wellness plans. The Speech-Language Pathologist will also maintain accurate documentation, contribute to multidisciplinary case discussions, and participate in health education initiatives for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Current professional licensure/registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility according to local regulations).
• Demonstrated expertise in assessment and intervention for speech, language, and communication disorders in children and adolescents.
• Experience working in school or pediatric settings, ideally within multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to develop individualized therapy plans, set measurable goals, and track outcomes using evidence-based methods.
• Strong collaboration skills for working with educators, healthcare professionals, and families to support student success.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for documenting services and explaining recommendations in accessible language.
• Commitment to gender-neutral, inclusive, and non-discriminatory practices when interacting with students and school communities.
• Organizational skills to manage caseloads, schedule sessions, and meet reporting and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with child development, behavioral health considerations, and culturally responsive care in diverse school environments.
• Comfort using digital tools for record-keeping, reporting, and coordination with BICPHS health programs.
• Previous experience with preventive health or wellness initiatives in educational settings is an advantage.
