Job Description:
About the role
vFairs is looking for a creative, strategic, and data-driven Social Media Manager to own our brand presence across platforms — led by LinkedIn, and extending across Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, and YouTube. This is not a scheduling role. You will be expected to drive measurable demand, build a genuine community of event professionals, and bring ideas to the table.
You will also play a key role in shaping the online voice of our CEO — helping him build thought leadership and position vFairs as the go-to event technology brand in the B2B space.
What you’ll own
1. Social content ownership
- Own day-to-day posting, scheduling, and performance tracking across all social platforms
- Maintain a consistent brand voice across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube
- Build and lock a strategic content calendar at least two weeks in advance, aligned with campaigns, launches, and industry moments
- Proactively plan around special days, awareness moments, and cultural events relevant to our audience
- Repurpose long-form content (podcasts, blogs, videos) into snackable social assets
- Collaborate with design, product, and content teams to keep messaging and visuals aligned
2. Performance and reporting
- Own social media metrics and come to every review meeting prepared with current data and your own analysis
- Identify what’s working, what isn’t, and proactively recommend changes
3. Tier 1 audience growth and outbound engagement
- Run an ongoing outbound engagement programme to build vFairs' presence among ICP-fit professionals
- Engage with relevant industry profiles, influencers, and partners to grow a genuine community around the brand
- Monitor and respond to comments, DMs, and mentions across platforms in a timely manner
4. CEO thought leadership
- Create and ghostwrite strategic LinkedIn content for the CEO that builds credibility and brand visibility in the B2B events space
- Align executive content with broader marketing initiatives and demand generation goals
5. Campaign ideation and execution
- Proactively bring forward campaign ideas for product launches, industry events, awareness moments, and company milestones
- Develop and execute social media campaigns end-to-end, from concept through to post-launch content
- Support demand generation by amplifying campaigns through relevant social content and storytelling
- Draft and promote award nominations and event-related announcements across platforms
6. Podcast and long-form content promotion
- Promote podcast episodes across social through a multi-format content arc — video bytes, carousels, pull quotes, infographics, and teasers
- Assist with guest outreach and communications for the vFairs EpicEvents podcast
Requirements
- 3-5 years of B2B social media management experience, preferably in SaaS or event tech
- Proven track record of hitting measurable social media targets — not just managing accounts
- Strong understanding of LinkedIn as a demand generation and thought leadership platform
- Confident working with performance data independently — you analyse your own results and adapt without being told to
- Experience running outbound engagement strategies to grow the audience
- Ability to ghostwrite for executive-level personal brands with accuracy and authenticity
- Proactive campaign thinker — you bring ideas before being asked and own them end-to-end
- Organised and self-directed — you manage the content calendar independently
- Familiarity with scheduling and analytics tools (HubSpot, LinkedIn Analytics, etc.)
- Bonus: light graphic design skills or familiarity with aesthetics and/or tools
