What You'll Be Doing
We're looking for someone who is curious about social media, good with creative tools, visually sharp, organized, and able to turn direction into finished content quickly.
Your work will sit across content, social media, and design execution, including:
- Researching social media trends, formats, memes, hooks, competitors, and content opportunities
- Keeping an eye on what brands and creators are doing across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms
- Helping build weekly and monthly content calendars
- Brainstorming content ideas with the creative and marketing team
- Writing and refining captions, hooks, headlines, and short-form social copy
- Designing social media posts, carousels, stories, ad creatives, and other visual content
- Translating creative briefs, references, moodboards, and brand guidelines into finished designs
- Adapting content into different formats and sizes for different platforms
- Helping schedule, upload, and publish content across social channels
- Supporting basic social media management and keeping content pipelines organized
- Sourcing relevant photography, video clips, illustrations, memes, icons, and other creative assets
- Making revisions based on creative and strategic feedback
- Maintaining visual and messaging consistency across content
- Using AI and modern creative tools to research, ideate, write, and execute faster
- Occasionally supporting website, presentation, campaign, and marketing design requirements
The Role Is Roughly
Think of this as a mix of:
Social Media + Content + Visual Design Execution
You won't spend all day designing graphics.
You also won't spend all day scheduling posts.
You'll be involved in the process from "What should we post?" "How should we communicate it?" "Let's make it" "Let's publish it."
Tools You’ll Likely Use
You don't need to know every tool, but you should be comfortable with some combination of:
- Figma
- Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator
- ChatGPT and other AI tools
- Social media publishing and scheduling tools
- Google Docs / Sheets or similar tools for content planning
Bonus points for familiarity with:
- CapCut
- After Effects
- Meta Business Suite
- TikTok / Instagram Reels content creation
What We're Looking For
We're less interested in years of experience and more interested in whether you can research, think, execute, and learn quickly.
You should have:
- A strong interest in social media, digital marketing, brands, advertising, and internet culture
- A good visual eye and basic understanding of layout, typography, composition, and visual hierarchy
- Good command of Canva, Figma, Photoshop, or another relevant design tool
- The ability to research trends and identify interesting content opportunities
- Decent writing skills, particularly for captions, hooks, and short-form content
- The ability to follow creative direction and references closely
- Good organizational skills
- The ability to manage multiple pieces of content at different stages
- Comfort receiving direct feedback and making revisions
- A willingness to experiment with new platforms, formats, and AI tools
Perfect grammar, advanced illustration skills, or years of agency experience are not requirements.
Being able to understand an idea and turn it into something publishable matters more.
Who This Role Is Good For
This internship could be a strong fit if you:
- Spend a lot of time on social media and naturally notice trends, formats, campaigns, and interesting brand content
- Enjoy both the thinking and making side of content
- Can look at a reference and recreate or adapt the underlying visual style
- Like writing captions and coming up with hooks as much as designing the actual post
- Are comfortable switching between Canva/Figma, ChatGPT, spreadsheets, and social media platforms
- Want to understand why certain content works instead of just making things look pretty
- Want hands-on exposure to real brands, clients, campaigns, and marketing problems
What You'll Learn
You'll get practical exposure to:
- Content research
- Trend spotting
- Content calendars
- Copywriting and hooks
- Brand voice
- Performance advertising creatives
- Content production workflows
- Publishing and schedulingBasic content performance analysis
- Brand identity systems
- Working from creative briefs
- Design critique and iteration
Most importantly, you'll see how strategy, copy, design, distribution, and business objectives fit together rather than treating social media posts as isolated graphics.
A formal degree isn't required.
You can show us:
- Social media pages you've worked on
- University projects
- Personal projects
- Freelance work
- Behance work
- Content calendars you've created
- Even a personal social account that demonstrates strong content instincts
We care much more about what you can actually do than the title on your degree.
