Job summary

NorthBay Solutions is seeking an experienced Unity Developer for mobile development on a full-time basis. The role requires strong Unity/C# skills and extensive mobile app experience for Android and iOS, along with collaboration across cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize mobile applications, manage builds, and mentor juniors while delivering high-quality software. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred along with excellent communication abilities.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of professional software development experience with Unity.
• Strong proficiency in Unity 3D and C#.
• Extensive experience in mobile development for Android and iOS.
• Knowledge of mobile architecture, lifecycle, and platform specifics.
• Experience with performance optimization, profiling, memory management, and debugging in Unity.
• Experience integrating REST APIs, SDKs, and third-party libraries.
• Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
• Experience with mobile build/deployment to Google Play and App Store.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications using Unity and C#.
• Develop and optimize apps for Android and iOS platforms.
• Implement features, UI, animations, integrations, and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, PMs, and stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot technical, performance, and platform issues.
• Optimize mobile performance, memory usage, CPU/GPU, and battery life.
• Integrate third-party SDKs, APIs, libraries, analytics, and services.
• Manage mobile builds, testing, debugging, and deployment.
• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices.
• Provide mentorship to junior developers when required.
