Job summary

Mashreq Bank seeks an experienced Trade Operations professional in Karachi to oversee Trade Payments and related activities per internal policies and ICC guidelines. You will handle transaction input, authorization, and SWIFT messaging with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

Strong knowledge of Letters of Guarantee and Letters of Credit, plus accounting entries, UATs, and amortization principles, is essential. Exceptional communication and team leadership are required to succeed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• 9–12 years of experience in Trade Operations.
• Expert knowledge of Letter of Guarantee and Letter of Credit.
• Expert knowledge of accounting entries and UATs.
• Understanding of amortization principles.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure processing aligns with SOP/OPM, UCP/ISBP/ISP and guidelines.
• Perform sanction checks of relevant parties in documents.
• Handle trade operations and authorize/input transactions.
• Prepare/authorize relevant SWIFT messages.
• Address ad-hoc tasks from Team Head.
• Share knowledge gaps with line manager to resolve issues.
• Prevent revenue leakage from charges collection.
• Ensure no outstanding Nostro or internal reconciliation entries.
