Job summary

RLK seeks an obstetrics and gynecology specialist to provide comprehensive clinical assessment, diagnosis, and management of obstetric and gynecological cases in a hospital setting in Lahore, Pakistan.

The role requires PM&DC-recognized Level III postgraduate qualification (FCPS/MS/MD or equivalent) and MBBS with PM&DC registration. You will participate in labour ward, emergency, and on-call duties and contribute to teaching and quality-improvement activities.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized and registered with PM&DC.
• PM&DC-recognized Level III postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology (FCPS, MS, MD or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of patients in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Manage routine and emergency obstetric and gynecological cases under appropriate clinical supervision.
• Conduct antenatal, postnatal, and gynecological assessments and ensure appropriate patient management.
• Assist in obstetric and gynecological procedures and surgeries as per institutional privileges and competencies.
• Participate in labour ward, emergency, outpatient, inpatient, and on-call duties.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient medical records and clinical documentation.
• Coordinate with consultants, medical officers, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care.
• Participate in morbidity and mortality meetings, clinical audits, case discussions, and departmental academic activities.
• Support teaching and clinical training of postgraduate trainees, residents, house officers, and medical students.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, patient-safety standards, and professional ethics.
• Participate in research and quality-improvement activities of the department where required.
• Perform other clinical and academic duties assigned by the Head of Department.
