Job summary

Convo is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with 6+ years of backend experience to build scalable, secure, cloud-native services, APIs, MCP servers, and multi-tenant enterprise solutions. You will work with C#, .NET 10, ASP.NET Core, and Azure, shaping architecture for secure data contracts and partner integrations.

You will design and implement scalable microservices, expose robust REST APIs, and drive automated testing, observability, and compliance across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in C#, .NET 10, ASP.NET Core.
• Experience with Azure and cloud-native microservices.
• Proficient in REST APIs, databases and event-driven architecture.
• Familiar with API security and automated testing.
• Experience with distributed systems and scalable backend design.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable .NET 10 / Core microservices for workflows.
• Expose versioned REST APIs and MCP interfaces over data and agent capabilities.
• Implement outbound contracts for data products, events, and partner integrations.
• Build token/usage metering, rate limits, quotas and auditing records.
• Implement authentication, authorization, tenant isolation and secure access.
• Develop asynchronous/event-driven backend workflows and messaging patterns.
• Ensure resilience with retry, circuit breaker, timeout, and caching strategies.
• Develop data-access services using EF Core, SQL and NoSQL stores.
• Add automated tests and telemetry for observability.
• Own services through full lifecycle inclusive of CI/CD and production support.
