This role requires a dynamic leader to manage a team , drive retail sales performance, and ensure excellent customer service standards. The Branch Manager will collaborate closely with the Cluster Manager to implement business plans, achieve targets, and sustain branch profitability. Responsibilities

• Lead the branch retail operations ensuring compliance with internal policies and State Bank of Pakistan regulations including KYC/AML guidelines.
• Develop and execute effective sales strategies to attract new customers and enhance branch profitability in collaboration with the Cluster Manager.
• Manage and motivate a team of staff members by providing training, performance feedback, and career development opportunities.
• Oversee the branch’s customer experience management to ensure high levels of satisfaction and service quality.
• Conduct sales performance management through accurate sales reporting and analysis to identify growth opportunities and address challenges.
• Implement loss prevention measures and retail compliance protocols to minimize financial risks and maintain regulatory standards.

• Ensure the timely achievement of business targets and support organizational goals by aligning branch operations with corporate objectives.

• Business Development & Financial Growth
• Implement the annual and interim business plans and financial budgets finalized and assigned by the Cluster Manager.
• Identify existing and prospective clients to increase market share and build a high-quality customer base.
• Mobilize deposits and optimize the branch’s deposit mix to maximize profitability while balancing product pricing and costs.
• Ensure the asset-to-liability portfolio ratio is maintained as per plan, preventing any income leakage, overstating of income, or regulatory penalties at the branch level.
• Operations, Controls & Risk Management
• Supervise and approve critical daily branch operational activities—including but not limited to Account Opening, Lockers, ATM management, and other deposit processing—fully in line with prescribed SOPs and controls.
• Ensure strict safekeeping and proper systematic recording of all relevant branch keys, combinations, and stamps.
• Manage all branch functions (Sales, Operations, Reporting, and Customer Services) in strict accordance with internal control policies, operational procedures, risk parameters, and compliance guidelines (KYC / AML). Drive continuous improvements to achieve strong Internal/External Audit Ratings.
• Conduct regular surprise checks of General Ledger (GL) Heads (sundry, income/expenses, assets, security stationery, bill stamps, cash balancing) and monitor key remote or specific branch-linked accounts to avoid misreporting.
• Reporting & MIS Management
• Monitor and review periodic control reports, including the Statement of Suspicious Transactions (STRs) and Statements of Dormant / Inoperative Accounts, ensuring accurate and timely mitigation.
• Maintain clean and robust processes for timely, accurate reporting of accounts. Regularly analyze branch MIS reports to formulate future corrective actions and share updates with the Cluster Manager.
• People Management & Team Leadership
• Set clear goals for branch team associates, ensure complete clarity of performance expectations, and run a fair mechanism for periodic feedback, performance evaluations, and annual appraisals.
• Maintain absolute branch discipline and harmony. Collaborate with HR and the Cluster Manager to map out career progression and growth plans for high‑potential team members through targeted on‑the‑job, in‑house, or external training.
• Administration & Asset Safety
• Ensure the security and safety of the branch facility, staff, and physical assets are heavily prioritized to prevent any operational risks or uncalled‑for situations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for branch‑level audit discussions, customer grievances, and administrative issues, escalating unresolved items directly to the Cluster Manager.
