Goodwork is seeking a remote Senior Billing & Accounts Receivable Manager (Legal) to own billing, invoicing, collections, payment plans, and accounts receivable. You will build the systems and set the standards for how billing gets done here.

In this role, you'll centralize billing responsibilities that are currently spread across Attorneys and support staff — work that creates inefficiency and hurts client relationships — so the legal team can focus on cases, confident that billing is handled

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of experience in legal billing and AR roles.
• Hands-on experience with Clio Manage for billing and collections.
• Advanced billing and collections knowledge across law firm contexts.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and drive results.

Responsabilités

• Payment Plan Setup: establish deposits and signed engagement letters; create automated plans with monthly billing.
• Payment Recording & Invoicing: issue client invoices and coordinate trust reconciliation.
• Collections & Escalation: monitor payments, update methods, and escalate as needed.
• AR Reporting: run aging reports and track 30-, 60-, 90-, and 90+ day balances.
• Process Improvement & AI Use: document SOPs, train staff, and leverage AI to automate tasks.
