Job summary

Bush & Bush Law Group is seeking a Remote Medical Assistant to support our personal injury practice from afar. You will review treatments, manage medical and billing records, and liaise with providers to obtain documents and affidavits. A strong eye for detail and independent work style are essential.

The role involves handling 30–40 active cases, tracking progress, and assisting the Case Manager to ensure clients receive the required medical services. Flexible, remote work is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; higher degree preferred.
• Previous experience as a medical assistant or in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and billing codes is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review and track client medical treatments across lifecycle.
• Request and obtain medical and billing records and affidavits promptly.
• Verify accuracy and completeness of medical and billing records.
• Proactively contact providers for status updates on records and affidavits.
• Provide weekly status updates on records and affidavits for each client.
• Research and manage subrogation liens (Medicaid/Medicare, hospital liens, etc.).
• Caseload of 30–40 active cases, with growth capacity.
• Assist Case Manager in confirming treatment per referrals.
