Qualifications

• At least 1 year in a healthcare admin role such as Medical VA or Medical Receptionist.
• Experience handling high-volume medical phone calls is preferred.
• Experience supporting multiple physicians or providers is desirable.
• Hands-on in insurance verification, eligibility, referrals, and prior authorizations.
• Familiar with US healthcare terminology, HIPAA, and clinic workflows.
• Comfortable with EMR/EHR systems and secure communication platforms.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-volume inbound/outbound calls with professional communication.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm ophthalmology appointments for two physicians.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, copays, and coverage before visits.
• Initiate and follow up on prior authorizations and referrals.
• Maintain accurate patient demographics and documentation in the EMR.
