Job summary

GoLean Health is seeking a Medical Virtual Assistant to support a U.S. endocrinology practice with authorizations, refill coordination, scheduling, and patient communication. This blended front-desk and back-office role requires meticulous follow-up and responsive service in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as Medical Virtual Assistant or similar healthcare support role.
• Experience in U.S.-based medical practice is required.
• Experience handling prior authorizations and prescription refills.
• Experience scheduling patients and managing calls.

Responsibilities

• Prior Authorizations: Gather information, submit requests, track progress, and escalate delays.
• Prescription Refill Coordination: Review, route for approval, and communicate status.
• Appointment Scheduling and Patient Calls: Schedule, reschedule, confirm, and follow up.
• Message and Telephone Encounter Management: Review, respond, and route as needed.
• Claims and Appeals Support: Review claims, submit docs, and assist with basic appeals.
• Documentation and Escalation: Document communications and escalate urgent concerns.
• Team and Administrative Support: Coordinate with team and support clinic workflows.
