In Mobilink Bank, a Relationship Manager in liability sales is a vital role responsible for managing and fostering relationships with individual and corporate clients regarding their deposit accounts. This position focuses on acquiring new clients, retaining existing ones, and ensuring that clients’ deposit banking needs are met efficiently.
What does the Relationship Manager Deposit do?
- Enable the execution of sales strategy and customer acquisition process to meet, exceed portfolio growth and cross‑sell targets.
- Ensure overall assigned portfolio targets are achieved product wise (CALSA/SA/TD) on a weekly/monthly/quarterly and annual basis.
- Take onboard freelancers/brand ambassadors to build a deposit mobilization team of 25 head‑counts for retail deposit marketing.
- Ensure the targeted portfolio mix between CASA and Term Deposit is achieved.
- Achieve fairly priced deposits to support retail deposit growth through multiple accounts.
- Establish and maintain good relationships with key potential clients and develop these into successful, ongoing business relationships.
- Ensure deposit mobilization over a large number of accounts to minimize concentration risk and portfolio volatility.
- Maintain a consistent run rate of new-to-bank account openings on a daily basis.
- Provide the highest level of customer service in coordination with branch staff.
- Handle activities ranging from identifying clients’ financial needs and providing need‑based solutions such as Payments & Cash Management, Trade Services, Treasury, and Investment Banking with the help of Area or Regional Managers.
- Maintain good client relationships to maximize business value through deepening and 360‑degree opportunities.
- Monitor and assess competitor activities to proactively satisfy and retain MMBL clients.
- Resolve any customer complaints promptly and professionally.
- Complete any task or assignment from the line manager efficiently and effectively.
Requirements for Relationship Manager Deposit
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, Marketing, Economics, or Finance. MBA is preferable (subject to approval).
- Have a minimum of three years of relevant work experience in sales planning, management, and operations within the retail/consumer banking sector.
- Possess a good understanding of deposit products and their operation.
- Have knowledge of CASA and related fundamentals essential for achieving CASA growth.
