Job summary

BlackCube Labs is seeking a QA Automation Engineer in Hyderabad to design and implement automated tests using Python and Pytest. The role focuses on API testing, SQL data validation, and Power BI dashboard verification to ensure reporting accuracy.

You will develop automation frameworks, validate data across sources, and work with cross-functional teams to improve coverage and efficiency. Prior experience with CI/CD and UI automation is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python-based automation
• Experience with Pytest for test automation
• Strong API testing (REST) and SQL validation
• Knowledge of data validation and dashboards testing with Power BI
• Understanding of QA processes, test case design, and SDLC/STLC

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Pytest.
• Perform API testing for REST APIs including functional and integration tests.
• Validate backend data with SQL queries and database testing techniques.
• Test Power BI dashboards for data accuracy and reporting functionality.
• Identify and track defects, collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
• Create and execute functional, regression, and end-to-end test cases.
• Contribute to test planning and automation framework improvements.
• Collaborate with data engineering and business teams to ensure quality.
