Job summary

hr-pod-hiring-talent-globally is seeking a QA/Software Tester with up to 2 years of experience to join our team in Pakistan. The role involves validating web and mobile workflows, creating test cases, and performing API tests using Postman or similar tools.

You will work closely with developers, product managers, and senior QA engineers to ensure quality releases, maintain documentation, and participate in Agile processes. A learning mindset and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Fresh to 2 years of QA or software testing experience, including relevant academic or project experience.
• Understanding of functional and regression testing, with basic knowledge of API testing and the defect life cycle.
• Familiarity with Jira or similar tools, along with an understanding of Agile workflows and acceptance criteria.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and documentation skills.
• Exposure to automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium.
• Basic understanding of performance and security testing, with exposure to mobile, OTT, or enterprise application testing.
• A learning mindset with a willingness to accept feedback and develop technical skills.
• Detail-oriented and structured approach to testing, with accountability for assigned test activities.
• Curiosity to understand systems end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, acceptance criteria, and user stories.
• Create and execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory test cases.
• Validate web and mobile application workflows.
• Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Log, track, retest, and verify defects through closure.
• Support release validation, smoke testing, and demo verification.
• Maintain test documentation, evidence, and coverage tracking.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and senior QA engineers.
