Job summary

Harmony Data Integration Technologies is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to own test automation across data/ETL pipelines, APIs, and web frontends. You will design robust QA strategies, build CI/CD-native test suites, and drive performance testing.

You will translate system requirements into executable, measurable test plans, champion shift-left quality, and collaborate with data, engineering, and product teams to improve release quality.

Qualifications

• Experience validating data pipelines/warehouses (e.g., BigQuery/Snowflake/Redshift).
• Proficient in Python/TypeScript/Java for test automation.
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman/Newman, REST Assured, Pact).
• UI testing with Playwright or Cypress for stable, parallel tests.
• Performance testing with k6, JMeter, Locust; understanding p95/p99.
• CI/CD integration and test artifacting.
• Data testing frameworks like Great Expectations / Soda Core / dbt tests.
• Cloud containers and IaC familiarity (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Observability tooling to link tests to telemetry (Prometheus, Grafana).

Responsibilities

• Own test automation across ETL pipelines, APIs, and frontends.
• Design data quality checks, schema validations, reconciliation, and CDC verification.
• Build CI/CD-native test suites and seed synthetic data.
• Create end-to-end, integration, contract, and regression tests.
• Define SLAs/SLOs, performance/load tests, and publish dashboards.
• Champion shift-left and quality as code; support monitoring and incident reviews.
