AppWork in Pakistan seeks a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design, implement, and own automated testing across web, mobile, and APIs. You’ll collaborate with engineers across AppWork's R&D squads to ship reliable features and strengthen the regression suite.

This hands-on role emphasizes risk-based test planning, modern frameworks like Playwright/Cypress, and CI/CD integration. You’ll mentor peers, write clear bug reports, and help define quality metrics across products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in QA automation and building automated test suites from scratch.
• Hands-on experience testing web applications and REST APIs.
• Experience with modern test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines (Playwright, Cypress, Postman, GitHub Actions, or equivalent).
• Strong risk awareness and ability to prioritize coverage based on impact.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites across Web Portal, Technician App (iOS/Android), and backend APIs.
• Collaborate with R&D squads to bake testability into new features from day one.
• Identify gaps in test coverage and prioritize automation work by risk and impact.
• Investigate and reproduce bugs, document them clearly, and verify fixes via automation.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD test pipelines for fast, diagnosable failures.
• Test integrations to ensure proper synchronization across systems.
• Contribute to test strategy for AI features and scalable quality practices.
