Job summary

BlackCube Labs is seeking a QA Automation Engineer in Hyderabad to design and implement automated tests using Python and Pytest. The role focuses on API testing, SQL data validation, and Power BI dashboard verification to ensure reporting accuracy.

You will develop automation frameworks, validate data across sources, and work with cross-functional teams to improve coverage and efficiency. Prior experience with CI/CD and UI automation is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong experience in Python, Pytest, SQL/Database testing, API testing, and Power BI testing. The ideal candidate should have hands‐on experience in developing automation frameworks, validating data and APIs, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of reporting dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Pytest.
• Perform API testing for REST APIs, including functional, integration, regression, and negative testing.
• Validate backend data using SQL queries and database testing techniques.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation between source systems, databases, APIs, and reporting layers.
• Test Power BI dashboards and reports, including data accuracy, filters, calculations, visualizations, and report-level functionality.
• Identify, document, and track defects and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
• Participate in test planning, execution, and automation framework improvements.
• Collaborate with development, data engineering, and business teams to understand requirements and ensure quality.
• Contribute to improving test coverage and automation efficiency.
