Job summary

UN Women Pakistan is offering a Programme Support Intern role based in Islamabad, supporting cross-cutting technical and administrative tasks across the Country Office portfolio, contributing to research, documentation, coordination, monitoring and communications.

The internship provides practical exposure to programme implementation within the UN system while supporting priorities and engaging with government partners, civil society and development partners.

Qualifications

• University studies in gender studies or related field as required.
• Graduate programme enrollment or final year at minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of another UN language is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day programme support to assigned teams across UN Women projects and thematic areas.
• Assist in compiling, organizing and maintaining programme-related information, records, trackers, presentations and other documents.
• Support desk research and analysis on gender equality, women's empowerment and governance topics.
• Assist preparation of background notes, briefs, talking points, meeting materials, minutes and summaries.
• Support monitoring and documentation of programme activities, including data collection and outcomes.
• Assist with coordination of meetings, consultations, workshops, trainings and events, including agendas and action points.
• Support preparation and quality review of programme documents and donor reporting.
• Assist inputs for periodic reporting and communication materials.
• Support development and organization of success stories and event summaries.
• Maintain electronic programme files and ensure documents are organized and accessible.
• Coordinate with internal teams, partners and stakeholders under supervisor guidance.
• Undertake other programme-related tasks to contribute to UN Women activities.
