Job summary

UN Women Pakistan seeks a Programme Support Intern to assist across projects and thematic areas in Islamabad. You will help with research, documentation, coordination and reporting to support priority gender equality initiatives within the Country Office portfolio.

The role provides practical exposure to UN programme implementation and collaborative work in a multicultural environment, with supervision and opportunities to contribute to donor reporting and visibility materials.

Qualifications

• University studies in gender studies, international development, public policy or related field.
• Enrollment in graduate studies or final year of bachelor’s degree, or graduate within two years.
• Fluency in English; working knowledge of another UN language is advantageous.
• Strong research, analytical and writing skills; ability to organize information and records.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day programme support to UN Women projects and thematic areas.
• Assist in compiling and organizing programme information, trackers and documents.
• Support desk research and analysis on gender equality and related themes.
• Prepare background notes, briefs, talking points and meeting materials.
• Support monitoring and documentation of programme activities and data.
• Coordinate meetings, trainings, and events; prepare agendas and action points.
