Job summary

UN Women Pakistan is offering a Programme Support Intern position to assist country office teams. The role provides practical exposure to programme implementation within the UN system and supports research, documentation, coordination and reporting tasks across portfolio.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in relevant studies, have strong English skills, and are committed to gender equality and development outcomes in Pakistan.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English is required.
• University studies in gender studies, international development, public policy, social sciences, political science, economics, public administration, communications, business administration, development studies, international relations or another relevant field is required.
• Meet one of: enrolled in graduate programme; final year of Bachelor's; graduated and start internship within 2 years; enrolled in postgraduate traineeship.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day programme support to assigned teams across UN Women projects.
• Assist in compiling, organizing and maintaining programme-related information, records, trackers, presentations and other working documents.
• Support desk research and analysis on gender equality, women's empowerment, leadership and participation, economic empowerment, ending violence against women, governance, peace and security.
