Job summary

UN Women Pakistan invites applications for a Programme Support Intern to assist programme teams with research, documentation, coordination, monitoring and communications. The role provides cross-cutting technical and administrative support to advance priority programmes in the country.

The internship is designed to offer practical exposure to UN programme implementation, enabling the intern to develop skills in gender equality initiatives while contributing to Pakistan's development priorities.

Qualifications

• Education:Graduate studies in gender studies, international development, public policy, social sciences or related field.
• No specific work experience required for the internship.
• Strong research, analytical and information-gathering skills.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Ability to work in a multicultural team and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day programme support and maintain programme records.
• Conduct desk research on gender equality, women's empowerment, and related themes.
• Prepare background notes, briefs, meeting materials and summaries.
• Support monitoring, data collection and reporting.
• Coordinate meetings, workshops and events and draft action points.
