Job summary

Cosmo Pharma International (Pvt.) Ltd., based in Karachi, seeks a Procurement Assistant to support sourcing of materials, packaging and operational supplies while maintaining records and supplier coordination.

The role requires knowledge of procurement processes, ability to compare quotations, track deliveries and work with cross-functional teams, GMP awareness, and proficiency in Excel or ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of procurement processes, purchase orders, quotations and supplier coordination.
• Ability to prepare price comparisons, maintain vendor records and track deliveries accurately.
• Strong follow-up, negotiation support, organization and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard office applications; experience with ERP or inventory systems is an advantage.
• Understanding of raw materials, packaging supplies, inventory documentation or pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred.
• Careful attention to specifications, quantities, quality documents and GMP-related procedures.
• Clear written and verbal communication with suppliers and internal departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vendor sourcing, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, quotations and supplier documentation.
• Source raw materials, packaging components, consumables and general supplies from approved vendors.
• Collect and compare quotations, prepare price comparisons and support commercial negotiations.
• Coordinate with production, quality assurance, warehouse, finance and regulatory teams to confirm requirements and delivery schedules.
• Track orders, follow up on lead times and help resolve discrepancies in quantity, quality or documentation.
• Maintain organized procurement files, supplier records, stock-related information and purchasing reports.
• Support vendor evaluation and ensure procurement activities follow company procedures and GMP.
