Job summary

Aga Khan University Hospital in Lahore, Pakistan, seeks a Technologist for Phlebotomy in the Clinical Laboratory to perform tests independently and ensure quality results.

You will train with staff, support safety standards, and communicate abnormal conditions to supervisors and clinicians. A Bachelor's in Biological Sciences is required; masters preferred, with 1-year traineeship or 2–3 years experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (Masters preferred).
• 1-year traineeship at AKU Clinical Laboratory or 2–3 years relevant experience.
• Thorough knowledge of laboratory testing procedures.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical tests independently according to standard operating procedures and ensure quality of results.
• Participate in staff training and educational opportunities.
• Assist supervisor in implementing safety standards according to Laboratory Safety Guidelines.
• Identify and communicate abnormal patient conditions by alerting supervisory personnel, the pathologist, the physician, or nurse.
