Job summary

Aga Khan University Hospital in Lahore, Pakistan, seeks a Technologist for Phlebotomy in the Clinical Laboratory to perform tests independently and ensure quality results.

Qualifications

• 1-year traineeship at AKU Clinical Laboratory or 2–3 years relevant experience.
• Thorough knowledge of laboratory testing procedures.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical tests independently according to standard operating procedures and ensure quality of results.
• Participate in staff training and educational opportunities.
• Assist supervisor in implementing safety standards according to Laboratory Safety Guidelines.
• Identify and communicate abnormal patient conditions by alerting supervisory personnel, the pathologist, the physician, or nurse.
