Job summary

The role includes teaching junior staff, following safety and quality manuals, processing and co-signing reports, and maintaining a safe, compliant laboratory environment. A BS/MS in Biological Sciences and 3–4 years of technologist experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS/ MSc in Biological Sciences.
• 3–4 years of technologist experience at AKU or 6–7 years in a hospital/lab with 2–3 years admin exp.
• Thorough knowledge of laboratory testing procedures.
• Knowledge of latest developments in medical technology field.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex clinical tests daily to ensure timely final reports.
• Assist in teaching junior staff and students as required.
• Follow safety standards per Laboratory Safety Manual.
• Ensure junior staff follow the quality manual in daily tasks.
• Process and co-sign lab reports, including negative reports.
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety guidelines.
