Job summary

Recruit AI in Lahore seeks a Utilities Manager for our pharmaceutical manufacturing client. The role leads maintenance of critical utility systems to ensure GMP-compliant operations and high equipment availability.

You will oversee a five-member maintenance team, coordinate with Production, QA, and QC, and implement preventive maintenance strategies to optimize reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in utilities or engineering operations in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong GMP/compliance knowledge.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
• Experience with HVAC, boilers and generators is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and preventive maintenance of all utility systems for pharma manufacturing.
• Manage Air Handling Units, ammonia systems, hot water boilers, diesel generators, and dehumidification to ensure reliability.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and optimize performance.
• Monitor system performance and drive efficiency while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and coordinate corrective maintenance to minimize disruption.
• Ensure GMP compliance and engineering best practices.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and audit-ready documentation.
• Enforce safety regulations and promote safe working practices within the team.
• Coordinate with Production, QA and QC to support manufacturing activities.
• Lead and supervise a team of five maintenance technicians with coaching and oversight.
