Marketing Plus is a Lahore-based partnership supplying business supplies and equipment to offices, retailers and institutions. Although headquartered in Pakistan, this role supports our UK operations and customer interactions from Reading, United Kingdom. The Office Assistant will provide day‑to‑day administrative support to ensure smooth office operations, assist with order coordination, inventory tracking, basic customer enquiries, and documentation for shipments and vendor communications.
- Maintain reception and general office services, including handling incoming calls, greeting visitors, and directing enquiries to the appropriate team member.
- Process and track purchase orders, sales invoices and delivery documentation; prepare paperwork for local carriers and liaise with suppliers regarding order status.
- Manage filing systems, both electronic and physical, ensuring accurate record keeping for customers, suppliers, and inventory transactions.
- Support basic inventory checks and data entry for stock levels, flagging low stock to procurement and preparing simple inventory reports.
- Coordinate internal meetings and travel logistics, prepare agendas and take clear meeting minutes when required.
- Assist the sales and customer care teams with routine customer follow‑up, scheduling callbacks, and escalating technical or commercial issues to senior staff.
- Ensure office supplies and consumables are maintained, request replenishment, and help set up office equipment or liaise with external maintenance providers.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a small cross‑border team, able to prioritise multiple administrative tasks, and maintain a professional, customer‑focused approach. This is an on‑site role based in Reading with regular office hours aligned to the UK morning shift.
Job Specification
- Proven administrative experience in an office environment with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to maintain and update spreadsheets for orders and inventory.
- Clear written and verbal English communication for customer interactions and supplier correspondence.
- Basic bookkeeping familiarity: handling invoices, purchase orders and simple reconciliations.
- Data entry accuracy and experience using CRM or ERP systems is desirable; ability to learn internal systems quickly.
- Customer service orientation with problem‑solving skills and the ability to elevate issues appropriately.
- Time management and the ability to multitask under moderate supervision; reliable punctuality and professional presentation.
- Comfortable coordinating logistics and liaising with vendors, couriers and internal stakeholders.
