Job summary

World Food Programme in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan seeks a Programme Associate for a 12-month service-contract role to support nutrition, food systems and school meals initiatives. The incumbent will coordinate with health departments, manage data, and support monitoring, reporting and donor communications.

The position requires strong data skills, stakeholder engagement and experience with government partners; fluency in English and Urdu is required.

Qualifications

• Six years of progressively responsible professional experience, including at least 3 years in nutrition, public health, or related fields.
• Experience in programme implementation, monitoring, partner management and government coordination.
• Experience working with Department of Health and provincial government and development partners is highly desirable.
• Experience in data analysis, report writing and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, implementation and monitoring of nutrition, food systems and school meals programme activities in Punjab.
• Coordinate activities with health and government departments and partners to ensure timely delivery and targets.
• Maintain relationships with government stakeholders and partners to strengthen collaboration.
• Organize coordination meetings, technical consultations and planning workshops with stakeholders.
• Follow up on actions from meetings and ensure timely communication among stakeholders.
• Support partner onboarding and management in line with partnership policies.
• Monitor partner progress, identify challenges and facilitate resolution.
• Prepare and monitor partnership agreements, MOUs and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate partner reviews and performance assessments; support improvement plans.
• Facilitate capacity strengthening for partners including trainings and technical support.
• Compile, review and validate programme data; maintain databases and dashboards.
• Analyse performance data and provide recommendations; prepare regular reports for management.
• Conduct monitoring visits and support programme reviews and evaluations.
• Liaise with government counterparts to support planning, implementation and reviews.
