Job summary

The World Food Programme in Lahore, Pakistan, is seeking a Programme Associate to provide specialized support for nutrition, food systems and school meals interventions, coordinating with government counterparts and cooperating partners to ensure timely delivery of outputs and achievement of targets.

You will help plan, monitor and report on programmes, manage data and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, including partner onboarding, monitoring and knowledge management to drive impact.

Qualifications

• Six years of progressive professional experience in nutrition, public health, food security, or programme management.
• Minimum of six years total with at least three years in nutrition or related fields.
• Experience in programme implementation, monitoring, partner management, and government coordination.

Responsibilities

• Support programme planning, coordination, and monitoring with government departments and partners.
• Engage and manage cooperating partners including onboarding and monitoring progress.
• Manage programme data: compilation, validation, analysis, and reporting.
• Liaise with government counterparts and support joint field missions.

The Associate will contribute to programme planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting, ensuring timely achievement of targets and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. Key responsibilities include partner engagement, data management and analysis, conducting monitoring visits, and supporting government coordination mechanisms. The aim is to ensure seamless programme execution and contribute to WFP's mission of saving and changing lives.

Furthermore, the Programme Associate will be responsible for managing programme data, including compilation, validation, analysis, and reporting, to inform programme management and decision-making. This includes maintaining databases, analyzing performance against targets, and preparing regular reports and presentations. The position also requires liaising with government counterparts to support programme interventions, facilitating information sharing, and assisting in joint field missions. Finally, the role contributes to knowledge management by documenting lessons learned and best practices, and supporting learning initiatives for stakeholders.

Education: Completion of secondary school education (Grade 12) is required. A post-secondary certificate in a relevant field such as Public Health, Nutrition, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or Economics is also necessary. A first university degree in a relevant field is considered an advantage.

Work experience: Requires a minimum of six years of progressive professional experience, with at least three years specifically in nutrition, public health, food security, or programme management. Demonstrated experience in programme implementation, monitoring, partner management, and government coordination is essential.
