Job summary

The World Food Programme is seeking a Programme Associate (Cooperating Partners) in Islamabad. You will support CPM functions, manage partner coordination, and prepare data-driven reports to strengthen food security operations.

Qualifications

• Education: Completion of secondary school education; a post-secondary certificate in law, business administration, finance, accounting, international development, audit or related field.
• First level university degree in law, business administration, finance, accounting, international development or related field is an advantage.
• Experience: Minimum 6 years in risk management, partnerships, compliance, internal control systems, or programme management.
• Experience with digitalisation of programme processes (e.g., Partner Connect) is highly desirable.
• Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of WFP partnership procedures; ability to manage digital tools and dashboards.
• Language: Fluency in English and Urdu.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and assist in CPM activities and processes to align with CSP requirements.
• Provide specialised project management support to programmes to meet targets and policies.
• Prepare reports and data analyses on food assistance needs, resource utilization, and programme status.
• Record data accurately within the technical area and maintain data integrity for stakeholders.
• Liaise with internal counterparts to support collaboration, implementation, and monitoring of activities.
• Coordinate with local partners, agencies, NGOs, and government institutions for food security analyses and delivery.
• Support capacity building of WFP staff, cooperating partners and national government.
• Act as a point of contact for resolving operational queries in the technical area.
• Oversee or review work of support staff to meet deadlines and standards.
• Follow emergency preparedness practices to enable rapid response in crises.
• Carry out any other tasks within job level of expertise.
