Job summary

Alykas is seeking a NOC Engineer (L1) to monitor and troubleshoot IT infrastructure across networks, servers and applications. You will perform initial incident triage, create clear tickets, and coordinate with vendors during outages, ensuring service continuity.

Strong TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, routing and switching fundamentals are essential. Familiarity with ITSM tools and Cisco Meraki Dashboard is a plus. A Bachelor’s in CS/IT/Networking and relevant certifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in NOC, Network Support, or IT Infrastructure Operations.
• Strong TCP/IP, OSI model, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, routing, and switching fundamentals.
• Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing systems, incident management, and SLA concepts.
• Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux servers and firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Monitor networks, servers, applications, and infrastructure alerts.

• Troubleshoot TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, LAN/WAN, VPN, routing, and switching issues.
• Monitor routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and network links.
• Create, prioritize, update, and manage incidents according to SLA requirements.
• Identify the source of issues and escalate complex incidents to L2/L3 teams, vendors, or relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate with ISPs and vendors during outages and service degradation.
• Perform basic Windows/Linux server and service troubleshooting.
• Maintain clear ticket documentation, troubleshooting notes, and shift handovers.

• Good analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, Telecommunications, or a related field is preferred.

CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification is a plus.

CompTIA Network+, Cisco/Meraki certifications, or similar networking certifications are an advantage.
