Job summary

Relief International seeks a Wellbeing Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Assistant to support services at the RI RISE wellbeing center in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Under the Wellbeing Centre MHPSS Officer, the assistant provides practical support, basic PFA after training and confidential service navigation, ensuring access to appropriate help while maintaining professional boundaries.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Public Health or a relevant social or health discipline.
At least two years of relevant community, psychosocial, health or protection programme experience.
Ability to complete approved PFA and safeguarding training.
Clear communication in Pashto, Urdu and a district language; basic English reading and reporting ability.
Accurate record keeping, basic computer skills and confidentiality.
Experience supporting wellbeing centers, community groups, adolescents, caregivers or persons with disabilities.

Responsibilities

Welcoming participants, explaining services, coordinating appointments and maintaining confidentiality.
Provide PFA and basic practical support after training within demonstrated competence.
Assist with outreach and inclusive home-based visits with approved safety measures.
Do not diagnose or provide independent medical advice; escalate to qualified staff as needed.
Maintain accurate records and report safeguarding concerns through approved channels.
