Job summary

Brickstech in Karachi is seeking a BI Analyst II to expand our analytics team and tackle marketplace problems at scale. You will own metrics, craft dashboards, and drive data-informed decisions that influence pricing and subsidies.

You'll explore complex datasets, build insights without prompts, and collaborate with product, engineering, and commercial teams to turn data into actionable recommendations. This role emphasizes curiosity, judgment, and hands-on SQL skills.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of relevant post-education work experience in analytics, business intelligence, market research or a related field.
• Experience gathering business requirements, using industry-standard BI tools to extract data, formulate metrics and build reports
• Experience using SQL and databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
• Exposure to statistical modeling and analyzing large data sets
• Strong analytical judgement , you know what the available data can and can't answer
• Genuine curiosity about qualitative, external factors, not just the numbers in front of you
• Comfortable working without prompts, asking your own questions and following them through

Responsibilities

• Own business-critical metrics. Define, instrument and maintain new and existing metrics using SQL queries and beyond.
• Drive marketplace decisions. Support pricing, supply/demand balancing, customer subsidies, and strategic marketplace shifts with data.
• Understand our stakeholders. Develop an understanding of customers, partner-drivers and vendors to drive engagement, product recommendations and business decisions.
• Build for decision-making. Run experiments and develop dashboards and data visualizations that enable cross-functional, data-driven decisions.
• Answer the hard questions. Tackle complex business questions via ad-hoc SQL queries and visualization to advocate for better marketplace management.
• Connect the dots. Integrate insights from different data sources to build a holistic market and consumer understanding that's actionable for category and brand strategy.
• Partner with data engineering. Collaborate on building and maintaining ETLs, pipelines and automations so business performance can be understood and acted on accurately, scalably, and with minimal manual upkeep.
