Key Responsibilities
To maintain discipline and be overall responsible for working of hostel, safety of female students and maintain extra stringent precautions/ procedures.
- Control and supervise in/out movementfrom hostel.
- Taking the night roll-call at 2100 hours and informCommanding Officer MCS Training Battalion at 2130 hours daily while ensuring that :-
- Night fall in time is observedstrictly by all students.
- No student to stay overnight withoutprior permission from student’s parents.
- Rules /regulations as per the SOPGirls Hostel are followed in true letter and spirit.
- Nosuspicious/political/religious activities are carried out inside the hostel.
- Noraging/ fooling is carried out inside the hostel.
- Carrying out spot checks of student’srooms at unusual timings to ensure that no suspicious activities are beingcarried out.
- Acting as an advisor to Coy Commander MCS Training Battalionfor all matters pertaining to in-living NUST Students.
- Ensure the maintenance of hostel building/ amenities including the TV, water filters, microwave, fridge, room coolers, hostelcrockery and cutlery etc.
- AssistingCoy Commander MCS Training Battalionas per the task assigned by her.
- Havinga close interaction / liaison with in-living students to find out theirproblems. In turn inform Company Commander MCSTraining Battalionabout these problems with proposed / suggested solutions.
- Ensure following:-
- All hygiene measures are being ensuredby all cooks and waiters etc.
- Ensure maintenance/ adherence of messrules & regulations.
- Personally check the purchases i.e.,quantity and quality of items, in order to ensure prescribed standards, andsuggest measures to improve these.
- Check the daily messing register,ration demand register and other concerned documents. In case of anydiscrepancy inform Company Commander MCS Training Battalion.
- Conduct monthly mess meeting alongwith concerned students to decide/ improve / amend menu.
- Checkthe quality of food and visit students on daily basis while consuming food inorder to get their feedback.
- Keepthe up to date record of all mess members.
- Carryingout stock taking of all furniture items held on charge on quarterly basis and informCompany Commander MCS Training Battalion regarding their condition.
- Cleanliness/maintenance of hostel area and buildings specially kitchens and toilets.
- Controllingall staff employed at Hostels to include Cooks, Malis and Waiters etc.
- Maintenanceof First Aid Box and its judicious utilization in the hostel in consultationwith NUST MO. Ensure availability of transport, in caseof sick report by any student and intimation to Company Commander / BattalionCommander, incase of serious ailment/ injury/admission in the hospital and evacuate the student by fastest possible means tothe hospital without waiting for any advise by a senior.
- Aval oftransportation after proper permission from parents for the students proceedingon weekend / leave, with coordination of MCS Training Battalion.
- All administrative support requiredby the students is provided.
- Carryingout stock taking of all fur items held on charge on quarterly basis and informsCoy Commander MCS Training Battalion regarding their condition.
- Willassist Company Commander MCS Training Battalion in organizing functions at CadetsHostel/MCS.
- Remainsavailable in the hostel premises and does not leave premises with-out priorinformation to Coy Commander MCS Training BattalionReporting to Commanding Officer MCS Training Battalion on daily basis 24/7.
- To make sure that the in-living students are well informed about all activities and decisions of thehostel management (Company / Battalion Commander).
- Controllingall staff employed at Hostels to include Cooks.
- Ensure that while leaving thehostel, the student has handed over the room without any damage and if there isany damage, get it priced from MCS Training Battalion tobe recovered from the student.
- Reporting Company Commander MCS Training Battalion ondaily basis 24/7.
Term and Conditions
Candidates are required to attach scanned copies of their documents (Academics / Professional). Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC. Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons: - 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile. - NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution. - In process of pursuing a required degree. - Medically unfit. Candidates serving in Govt departments or Armed forces will be required to furnish a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective parent department / organization. Late / incomplete applications will be ignored. Only short-listed candidates will be considered / called for test / interview and no TA / DA will be admissible. NUST reserves the right to cancel, modify / terminate the recruitment program due to any reason, without notice, at any time
