Job summary

National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) invites applications for an academic position in the Basic Sciences/General Education Faculty. The role requires 3-5 years of clinical and teaching experience and a master’s level qualification in a relevant subject.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering undergraduate nursing courses and coordinating clinical teaching with affiliated hospitals.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of clinical /teaching experience.
• MSN/ MSPH/ MHPE/ Master in relevant subject (NQF – level 7) required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and deliver undergraduate nursing courses in line with the curriculum.
• Conduct lectures, tutorials, seminars, simulations and other academic activities.
• Develop course outlines, lesson plans, teaching materials and assessments.
• Supervise and evaluate students' academic progress and professional development.
• Guide students in research projects, assignments and activities.
• Supervise clinical learning and connect theory to practice.
• Coordinate with affiliated hospitals for clinical teaching and placements.
• Participate in curriculum development, reviews and quality assurance.
• Conduct and publish research in nursing/health sciences.
• Participate in accreditation, inspection and quality assurance processes.
• Mentor junior faculty and support faculty development.
• Maintain academic records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Head/Dean.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform any other duties assigned bythe Head/Dean.

Term and Conditions

Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC.

• 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
• NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
• In process of pursuing a required degree.
• Medically unfit.
• Candidates serving in Govt departments, Armed forces may apply through their respective parent department / organizations.
