Job summary

National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) Quetta campus invites applications for a security leadership role. The incumbent will provide comprehensive security services, manage guards, and maintain records to ensure campus safety and order.

The position requires armed forces background with 10 years of experience and a 14‑year degree from an HEC-recognized university. Strong communication, planning, and coordination skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective security services at NBC Quetta.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for people and material on campus.
• Manage and guide Security Guards in duties, training, welfare and discipline.
• Keep records of security personnel, materials, equipment.
• Take rounds of security posts.
• Liaise with Quetta Garrison Security Force and other LEAs.
• Educate/instruct guards on day-to-day security matters.
• Prepare security plans and conduct mock exercises.
• Ensure security equipment is operational and maintained.
• Assist NBC employees in issuing ID cards and security passes.
• Implement security SOPs and coordinate with DSF for safety.
• Ensure traffic control and car parking during events.
• Guide firefighting team during incidents.
• Any other task given by senior authority.

Key Responsibilities

To provide effective security services at NBC Quetta,

To provide a safe and secure environment for menand materials on campus.

To manage, monitor, and guide Security Guards in their duties/ training/ welfare and discipline

To ensure keeping and maintaining records of Security personnel/ materials/ equipment.

To take rounds of security posts

To keep liaison with Quetta Garrison Security Force and other LEAs regarding security situation and assistance.

To educate/ brief/ instruct security guards regarding day-to-day security‑related affairs.

Prepare a security plan and conduct mock exercises.

Ensure all security tentacles are fully operational as per the security plan.

Ensure regular security equipment is cleaned and operational.

To ensure operational status/ repair/ maintenance and cleanliness of Gates/ security devices/ equipment/ apparatuses.

To ensure and assist NBC employees in the issuance of NUST ID cards

To issue NUST Security passes to eligible NBC personnel as per SOPs

To ensure implementation of Security-related SOPs

To ensure and keep liaison with DSF for safety/ security/ cleanliness/ record of armory/ arms and ammunition

To ensure judicious use of MT vehicles attached with Security personnel for security-related duties.

To investigate/ inquire about any security related accident/ incident/ occurrences

To ensure smooth traffic flow/ traffic control/ car parking inside the campus

To deploy security guards for traffic control/ guide duties during the visit of delegation/ campus events.

To guide and monitor the firefighting (FF) team in case of any fire incident

Any other task given by the seniorauthority.

Term and Conditions

Candidates are required to attach scanned copies of their documents (Academics / Professional). Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC. Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons: - 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile. - NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution. - In process of pursuing a required degree. - Medically unfit. Candidates serving in Govt departments or Armed forces will be required to furnish a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective parent department / organization. Late / incomplete applications will be ignored. Only short-listed candidates will be considered / called for test / interview and no TA / DA will be admissible. NUST reserves the right to cancel, modify / terminate the recruitment program due to any reason, without notice, at any time
