Job summary

Gumcorp Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function at our manufacturing facility in Karachi. The role focuses on preventing downtime through preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repairs of PLC and CNC equipment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with industrial machinery, strong supervisory skills, and a track record of managing maintenance costs while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field.
• 6+ years of industrial maintenance experience, with supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing and production machinery.
• Proven experience maintaining P&L, FVD, CNC machines, compressors, and related equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance activities of production machinery, equipment, utilities, and facility systems.
• Plan and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control-system issues.
• Ensure maximum machine availability and minimize unplanned downtime.
• Lead the maintenance team, allocate daily work, and monitor performance.
• Coordinate with external technicians, vendors, and machine suppliers for specialized support.
• Maintain records of breakdowns, repairs, spare parts, and maintenance history.
• Provide regular reports on machine performance, downtime, and maintenance costs.
