Job summary

Pakngos in Pakistan is seeking a seasoned logistics and procurement professional to manage overall logistics, procurement support, supply chain, and inventory functions. You will ensure timely availability of supplies and coordinate with multiple departments to meet operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall logistics, procurement support, supply chain, and inventory functions.
  • Ensure timely availability of supplies, consumables, equipment, stationery, and other essential materials.
  • Develop and maintain procurement, supply, inventory, and distribution plans in coordination with all departments.
  • Monitor stock levels, consumption, minimum/maximum stock limits, and potential stock-outs, ensuring timely replenishment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, stock registers, Goods Received Notes, issue records, and other logistics documentation.
  • Ensure proper receipt, inspection, storage, handling, and distribution of supplies in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Coordinate with Pharmacy, Finance, HR, clinical departments, and suppliers to meet operational requirements.
  • Support transparent and timely procurement processes, including specifications, quotations, purchase requests, and supplier coordination.
  • Monitor supplier performance, deliveries, lead times, and quality of supplied items.
  • Ensure appropriate storage conditions, stock security, expiry management, and prevention of wastage or losses.
  • Coordinate equipment, facility, utility, and maintenance requirements with relevant personnel.
  • Maintain adequate arrangements for transportation, distribution, waste management, cleaning, and other enabling logistics services.
  • Prepare timely logistics, inventory, procurement, and stock-status reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational procurement procedures, applicable government requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Support emergency procurement, surge capacity, and continuity of essential hospital services during emergencies.
