Job summary

CureMD in Lahore, Pakistan, is seeking a Legal Associate to assist with contract management, compliance monitoring, and regulatory research. You will support senior legal staff on disputes, draft and review agreements, and help manage intellectual property while ensuring governance across the company.

The role requires LLB/LLM with 2+ years of transactional experience, fluent English, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to work the 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM PKT shift.

Qualifications

• L.L.B. / L.L.M with 2+ years of transactional/corporate experience (1 year litigation preferred).
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Proven drafting, reviewing, and revising of agreements with strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Competent in legal research.
• Ability to work in Evening shift (04:00 PM till 01:00 AM PKT).

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate contracts ensuring compliance with local and international laws.
• Provide regulatory research on data privacy, IP, and corporate law.
• Support pre-litigation dispute management and prepare documentation.
• Assist in protection and enforcement of CureMD's intellectual property rights.
• Contribute to governance policy development and cross-department compliance.
• Conduct basic legal risk assessments for senior staff decisions.
• Foster communication with regulators and external stakeholders.
• Manage CureMD's IP portfolio in compliance with regulations.

Job Overview

As a Legal Associate, you will assist with general legal tasks, focusing on contract management, compliance monitoring, and regulatory research. This role provides support to senior legal staff on disputes and contract drafting and contributes to the management of intellectual property and compliance with corporate governance requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the drafting and negotiation of contracts, focusing on compliance with local and international laws.
• Provide legal research on regulatory changes related to data privacy, intellectual property, and corporate law.
• Support pre-litigation dispute management, helping to prepare documentation and liaising with external counsel.
• Assist in the protection and enforcement of the company’s intellectual property rights.
• Contribute to the development of corporate governance policies and ensure compliance across departments.
• Conduct basic legal risk assessments and present findings to senior legal staff for decision-making.
• Foster communication with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and business partners.
• Assist in managing the company’s intellectual property portfolio, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.

Qualifications

• L.L.B. / L.L.M with 2+ years of transaction/corporate experience (1 year of litigation experience with a law firm is preferred).
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Track record of drafting, reviewing, and revising agreements coupled with outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Competent in legal research.
• Ability to work in Evening shift (04:00 PM till 01:00 AM PKT).
