Job summary

The Sui Southern Gas Company Limited seeks a Deputy Chief Manager – Corporate Advisory to provide timely professional legal guidance to user departments and to review contracts and agreements. The role requires a law degree with Bar enrollment and significant experience in corporate law and risk assessment.

Responsibilities include tracking legal amendments, advising on regulatory impact, engaging stakeholders, and drafting opinions or briefs for management consideration.

Qualifications

• Law degree from HEC with 8 years of relevant experience and 3 years of Bar enrollment.
• Experience in legal advisory, contract drafting/review and risk assessment.
• Ability to engage with senior management and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely professional legal advice and opinions to user departments.
• Prepare and review contracts/agreements to protect company interests.
• Share updates on amendments to laws and evaluate impact on operations.
• Advise on legal queries and engage with stakeholders in meetings/consultations.
• Develop briefs, opinions, or working papers based on research.
• Review drafts by junior staff and external counsel to safeguard company position.
• Identify, assess, and monitor legal risks; implement risk response strategies.
• Undertake other tasks assigned by the superior.
