Job summary

Silicon Labs seeks a Lead Software Engineer – Embedded Firmware to advance Bluetooth Classic and BLE firmware for audio features. You will design, implement, and debug real-time embedded software in constrained environments and drive high-quality releases.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in embedded wireless development, strong C/C++ skills, Bluetooth expertise, and a track record mentoring engineers while collaborating across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in embedded firmware or wireless software development.
• Experience with AI-powered tools to enhance productivity and decision-making.
• Strong Bluetooth knowledge, including Classic and BLE, and audio-related profiles.
• Experience delivering embedded software from design to release.
• Familiarity with modern development practices, automation, and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for Bluetooth Classic and BLE.
• Implement features for Bluetooth audio, HFP, and LE Audio.
• Develop and maintain real-time, timing-critical embedded software.
• Contribute to wireless CoEx and multi-protocol solutions.
• Debug and resolve firmware, integration, and interoperability issues.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and Bluetooth qualification activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
