About the Role

HireOn is a recrutement agency, and recruiting on behalf of a startup client in Lahore seeking an experienced Junior Technical Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects for a fast‑growing product‑based technology company in Lahore. The ideal candidate should have started their career in Software Development or Quality Assurance and later transitioned into Project Management, bringing strong technical understanding alongside project delivery expertise.

This role requires close collaboration with engineering, QA, product, and business teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.

Experience Required

• 2+ years of total professional experience.
• Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Project Manager.
• Prior hands‑on experience in Software Development, or QA Engineering, or Software Testing.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end software project delivery from planning to production release.
• Coordinate with development, QA, UI/UX and business stakeholders.
• Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation plans.
• Track project progress and proactively manage risks, dependencies, and blockers.
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality standards.
• Communicate project status, risks, and updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage project documentation, requirements, and delivery reports.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to align development priorities with business goals.
• Drive process improvements and delivery excellence across teams.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and project delivery methodologies.
• Experience managing software development and QA teams.
• Ability to understand technical discussions and communicate effectively with engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience using project management tools such as Jira, ClickUp, Azure DevOps, Trello, or similar platforms.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Scrum Master, PMP, or Agile certifications are a plus.
• Experience working in product‑based software companies is highly preferred.
