Job summary

MariEnergies Limited is seeking an IT Technician to ensure smooth operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the company’s networks, hardware, and communication systems. You will deploy IT infrastructure, provide Level 1–2 support, and maintain documentation on-site at Quetta, Baluchistan.

The ideal candidate has hands-on problem-solving skills and experience with network devices, CCTV, and VoIP systems, along with strong adherence to HSE policies.

Qualifications

• Preferably a graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, DAE in IT, Telecom or Electronics with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• CCNA/HCNA, NSE-4 training or certifications are preferable.
• Hands-on experience with UBNT network / Wi‑Fi equipment and Sophos Firewalls.
• Good knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, NMS, FTP & File Servers.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain wired and wireless network devices including switches, firewalls, APs/controllers, and long-range wireless bridges.
• Set up desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, video conferencing systems, and peripheral devices with OS and applications.
• Install, configure, and manage CCTV systems (cameras, NVRs/DVRs).
• Install and manage IP-based telephone systems (Avaya, Grandstream, Elastix, FreePBX).
• Monitor health and performance of IT hardware, internet connections, and network devices; generate reports and escalate issues.

Role Overview:

The IT Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the organization’s networks, hardware, and communication systems. The role plays a critical part in deploying and maintaining IT infrastructure, providing technical support to end‑users, maintaining accurate system documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable safety and IT protocols. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on problem solver with strong technical expertise, sound troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to systems monitoring, maintenance, and user support.

Job Description & Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain wired and wireless network devices including managed switches, firewalls, wireless access points/controllers, and long‑range wireless bridges.
• Set up and configure desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, video conferencing systems, and peripheral devices, along with operating systems and essential application software.
• Install, configure, and manage CCTV surveillance systems including cameras, NVRs/DVRs, and monitoring tools.
• Install and manage IP‑based telephone systems such as Avaya, Grandstream, Elastix, or FreePBX.
• Monitor the health and performance of IT hardware, internet connections, and network devices; generate reports and escalated issues as required.
• Manage the IT Service Desk ticketing system; provide timely and effective Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to end‑users on‑site.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks; repair or replace faulty components when needed.
• Maintain updated records of all IT assets, including issuance logs, return logs, and stock levels of spares and consumables.
• Develop and regularly update documentation such as network diagrams, user manuals, SOPs, and system configurations.
• Carry out all duties in line with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment.

Qualification, Skills & Experience

• Preferably a graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology or an equivalent field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, DAE in IT, Telecom, or Electronics with at least 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience working in Oil & Gas fields or rigs is highly valued
• CCNA/HCNA, NSE-4 training courses or certifications are preferable.
• Hands‑on experience with UBNT network / Wi‑Fi equipment & Sophos Firewalls.
• Good Knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, NMS, FTP & File Servers.
• Strong communication skills and a hardworking aptitude to ensure effective task management and dedication to work

Job Type & Location

• 1-year contract (extendable based on demonstrated performance)
• Field Area (Quetta - Baluchistan)
