Job summary

Ziauddin University is seeking an IT Infrastructure Support Engineer to maintain daily desktop, laptop, and network support across Clifton campuses. The role requires providing end-user technical assistance and ensuring smooth operation of university IT services.

The successful candidate will configure devices for new joiners, manage email accounts, provide remote support to other campuses, and contribute to asset tagging, maintenance, and reporting.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science required.
• Experience in IT infrastructure and helpdesk support is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user desktop, laptop, network, and Wi-Fi support across Clifton campuses.
• Configure desktops/laptops and applications for new hires.
• Offer basic IT guidance to new users.
• Ensure smooth running of applications on user devices.
• Provide printing and scanning support; diagnose printers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on PCs, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN network connectivity.
• Provide user data and application recovery.
• Configure email accounts on client machines.
• Provide remote support to other university campuses.
• Handle new network-based requisitions with departments and report findings to line manager.
• Gather and report user feedback quarterly to line manager.
• Assist in managing sessions and other tasks per line manager.
• Update multimedia setups across Clifton campuses.
• Provide daily support logs to line manager.
• Maintain IT assets inventory with tagging.
• Collaborate as a team and update ongoing matters with line manager.
• Perform any tasks assigned by line manager with can-do attitude.

Job Description

• To Provide End User Desktop /Laptop / Network and Wifi support to Zia Uddin University employees based on Clifton campuses and resolve the user end issues timely.
• To configure Desktop systems / laptop and applications upon new induction.
• To provide basic IT guidelines to newly joined user.
• To ensure smooth running of applications at user desktop/laptop
• To provide printing and scanning support including basic printer diagnostics.
• To perform general preventive maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers and any other authorized peripheral equipment
• To Troubleshoot network connectivity in a LAN/WAN environment
• To provide user data and application recovery.
• To configured Email account on Client Machines
• To provide remote support to university other campuses
• To deal with any new network based requisition with relevant department and ensure the feasibility/requirements and share report with line manager.
• To take services feedback with end users / departmental heads or quarterly basis and provide consolidated report to line manager.
