Job summary

Ziauddin University in Sukkur campus is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide end-user desktop, laptop, network and Wi‑Fi support. You will configure devices on induction and deliver basic IT guidance to new users, ensuring smooth application performance and timely resolution of user issues.

The role requires a BS in Computer Science and 2–3 years of desktop support experience, strong communication, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining IT assets inventory and daily logs.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user desktop/laptop, network and Wi‑Fi support at Sukkur campus.
• Configure desktops, laptops and applications on induction.

• Provide printing and scanning support including basic printer diagnostics.
• Maintain IT assets inventory with tagging and provide daily support logs.

Job Description

• To Provide End User Desktop /Laptop / Network and Wifi support to ZiaUddin University employees based on Sukkur campus and resolve the user end issues timely.
• To configure Desktop systems / laptop and applications upon new induction.
• To provide basic IT guidelines to newly joined user.
• To ensure smooth running of applications at user desktop/laptop
• To provide printing and scanning support including basic printer diagnostics.
• To perform general preventive maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers and any other authorised peripheral equipment
• To Troubleshoot network connectivity in a LAN/WAN environment
• To provide user data and application recovery.
• To configured Email account on Client Machines
• To provide remote support to university other campuses
• To deal with any new network based requisition with relevant department and ensure the feasibility/requirements and share report with line manager.
• To take services feedback with end users / departmental heads or quarterly basis and provide consolidated report to line manager.
• Actively participate and assist in managing different sessions at and any task given my line manager.
• To ensure all multimedia setups are updated and secure across the Sukkur campus.
• To provide daily support logs to line manager/management
• To maintain and timely update systems, IT assets inventory with tagging
• To work as a team player and update all ongoing/pending matters / concerns with line manager in order for running smooth university IT operations
• To perform any task, assigned by line manager and show can do attitude towards new tasks
